Bring Information to Visitors
"Info on the Go" is a roaming information kiosk being introduced this
summer by the Regina Regional Opportunities Commission (RROC) and the
Regina Downtown Business Improvement District (RDBID).
It's one in
a host of other options for tourists and residents to get information
about the city and its features and attractions considering the visitor
services centre on the east side of Regina is no more.
"We were looking for a better way of connecting with people," said Larry Hiles, RROC president and CEO.
"We
want to have two-way communication with people that visit here and we
want to be able to respond to any questions they might have and ask them
what are the things we should pay attention to."
All the services
that used to be available at the visitor services centre are now
available from RROC at its location downtown on Rose Street.
But the roaming kiosk takes it one step further.
