Capital Pointe project ‘still on track’
Despite re-launching in March with new partners and new financing, Capital Pointe, the $100-million condominium-hotel complex on the corner of Albert Street and Victoria Avenue, has yet to see a wheel turn at the site.
But a spokesman for the joint venture partnership that’s developing the 10-storey hotel and 26-storey condo tower — which promises to be the tallest building in the province — says that’s all going to change in the next few weeks.
Greg Black, senior vice-president of project development and communications with Brightstar Corp., the Toronto-based company that’s developing the project along with Regina-based Westgate Developments Ltd., conceded the project has taken longer than expected to get off the ground.
