Ideas Wanted

The six annual Progress2Capital Business Planning Competition is now accepting applications from entrepreneurs in the Regina region. Entrepreneurs are invited to enter their ideas and to use the competition process to create a solid foundation for a successful business.

“Progress2Capital is an excellent opportunity for anyone thinking of starting a business,” says Larry Hiles, President and CEO of the Regina Regional Opportunities Commission (RROC). “Throughout the competition process, entrepreneurs will develop their business plans, perfect their investment pitches and gain valuable contacts within the local business community.” Progress2Capital also connects finalist teams with mentors to offer guidance throughout the competition.

It’s easy to apply to participate in the competition. Applicants need to submit a one-page summary of their business ideas to RROC by February 11. The competition is open to anyone looking to start up or diversify a business based in the Regina area. Progress2Capital participants will compete for a large prize pool of cash, business services and more. Progress2Capital exists to increase the number of prosperous businesses in the Regina region and to help entrepreneurs turn their business dreams into reality. More information on the competition is available at progress2capital.com.

The presenting partners for the Progress2Capital Business Planning Competition are the Regina Regional Opportunities Commission, the University of Regina Paul J.
